I had a great time talking to yogi David Ursillo. He’s a teacher of writing, yoga and self-expression and has a lot of great things to say about how these tools can help our healing…and our purpose.
The story of Dave’s beginnings with yoga start with a P90X workout and feelings of shame that came up in one of his first classes. A small act of kindness helped him stick with yoga.
Today he works to help people become unapologetically themselves. He lives a life of “quiet leadership,” not controlled by the pursuit of the best-selling book, but of service.
Some things we talk about in the podcast:
- Finding the wholeness within that’s already there
- Leading without followers; leading by example
- Writing for self-understanding and expression
- Karma and Dharma
- Purpose – we mention The Great Work of Your Life by Stephen Cope
- Yoga to develop self-confidence
